The Sprint Head End Facility is located on a mountaintop in the migration path of monarch butterflies. All commercial activity is regulated by wildlife and conservation commissions, and construction plans must comply with standards set to preserve the habitat for the butterflies. Sprint needed a construction firm familiar with environmental and conservation regulations that could oversee the $250,000 improvement project in Spring 2001. |
| Summit PDS worked with local authorities to plan the project so that it minimized the impact of construction operations to sensitive areas occupied by the monarch butterflies. Project plans were approved, and the project proceeded according to schedule and in compliance with environmental regulations. |
