Loyola University required not only the design of the two-level, 40,000 square foot fitness and rehabilitation facility, but also needed a unique engineering solution for the pool area. A ventilation system needed to be designed to exhaust the noxious chlorine gas from the surface of the water. |
| Summit custom-designed an exhaust system that pulled air across the water surface through the pool gutters, preventing the fumes from affecting rehabilitation patients and fitness center patrons. In addition, summit designed the exercise areas, offices, rehabilitation rooms, and chemical storage rooms. |
